Parmesan Ranch Cauliflower Recipe (1)

I feel like it is hard enough to get a main dish figured out, but then I am supposed to figure out and make stuff to go with it. And of course ideally that stuff would be healthy, and my kids would eat it. I mean is that really asking too much? Some days it sure feels like it!

This parmesan ranch cauliflower recipe has become one of our go to recipes for a quick and easy side dish every loves! You can whip it up in just minutes and it is easy enough that kiddos can even help get it ready when you are cooking. Just some chopped cauliflower (I do that part) then mix it up with the olive oil and ranch. Spread it out on a cookie sheet. Sprinkle with fresh grated parmesan and bake to perfection. What is easier than that. And it is cauliflower! So good and so good for you!

Parmesan Ranch Cauliflower Recipe – Step by Step

Read below to get my notes and step by step on the recipe, or skip down to the bottom to just grab the recipe card.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb cauliflower florets- I buy mine precut usually but you can also just chop them off a head of cauliflower.
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp dry Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning, if you are gluten or dairy free, try my Homemade Whole30 Ranch Seasoning
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan

Parmesan Ranch Cauliflower Recipe (3)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425F.
  2. Roughly chop the cauliflower into bite sized pieces. The smaller the pieces the quicker it will cook. My pieces were around 1 inch, some a little bigger and some a little smaller. It doesn’t have to be perfect. I used my WÜSTHOF GourmetHollow Edge Santoku knife which made the chopping super fast and easy.
  3. Place the cauliflower in a bowl then pour the olive oil and ranch seasoning over the top and toss to coat.
  4. Spread the cauliflower mixture in a single layer on a cookie sheet. Then sprinkle the parmesan over the top. A couple of tips here… I think it makes the easiest clean up if you line the pan with foil. When you choose a pan, try to pick something that is just big enough to allow the cauliflower to lay in a single layer. Try to make sure that the cheese is mostly on the cauliflower and not just falling through the cracks to the bottom of the pan so that all the goodness and flavor sits right on top of the cauliflower to make it most delicious.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes. If you want a little extra browning on the tips, broil for an extra 1 minute.
  6. Serve hot. Enjoy this quick and easy
  7. side dish! If you have leftovers, try putting them on top of a salad the next day. YUM!
