JOLIET

1/1 Location: 27551 S. Frontage Rd.

Summary: Two unknown offenders forced entry into two large containers in the Vantage Truck Parking lot. Nothing was missing from them.

Location: W. Jefferson St. and Hunter Avenue

Summary: Sandra Willis, age 32, of Joliet, was cited for driving while license suspended, operating vehicle with suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

1/2 Location: Cedarwood Drive and Live Oak

Summary: Shawanna Hamilton, age 46, of Joliet was cited for no valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, expired registration and was held on two active warrants.

Location: W. Jefferson and N. Hickory St.

Summary: Leticia Garcia-Gonzalez, age 38, of Joliet was cited for no valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and operating vehicle with suspended registration.

Location: Autumn Drive and Winter Court

Summary: Patrick Stone, age 56, of Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended and expired registration. He was held on an active warrant.

1/3 Location: Davison Street

Summary: Nicholas Ward, age 28, of 712 Davis Street in Rockdale was arrested for operating vehicle with suspended registration, driving too fast for conditions, improper lighting, reckless driving, and leaving the scene of an accident.

Location: Manhattan Road and W. Laraway

Summary: Brooklyn Lovelace, age 30, of Gary, IN was cited for disobeying a traffic control device and no valid driver’s license.

Location: S. Weber and Crest Hill Drive

Summary: Terry L. Greer, Jr., age 34, of Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, expired registration, and speeding.

Location: 23420 S. Frontage Road W Ceco Concrete

Summary: Manager stated multiple items were stolen from a conex storage container by two unknown male subjects. Stolen was hand tools, power tools and battery tools. Also stolen was a concrete buggy, weighing over 1,000 lbs. A Bobcat 750 also had damage to the ignition where offenders attempted to drill it out.

Location: 24000 block of W. Camelot Road

Summary: Victim stated that she received a message from an unknown sender through Facebook Messenger who was acting as an unknown government official. The subject stated he could approve a federal grant up to $30,000 for her.

The victim responded back and forth with the subject where she was eventually told that she had been approved for the federal grant of $30,000. The subject then advised the victim to send two Apple gift cards for $100 each in order to pay for the service fees. The victim complied.

The victim was then contacted again by the subject who advised her to send another $100 Apple gift card. The victim again complied. The subject then asked for an additional $500 gift card. The victim stated that she did not have $500 but would ask a family member for it. Upon asking a family member for the money, the family member explained to the victim that it was a fraudulent scam.

1/4 Location: 1212 E. Washington St. Elmhurst Cemetery

Summary: Three subjects were at a grave site of a deceased family member. While leaving the cemetery they observed two male individuals on a hill in the cemetery who began firing guns at them. The victims in the vehicle were ducking for cover and the driver lost control of the vehicle causing it to drive off the roadway. The two male subjects were described as slim built, males, both light skinned blacks. Deputies observed multiple bullet holes on the vehicle. Seven shell casings were located in the area. No one was injured.

1/7 Location: 500 block of W. Laraway Road

Summary: Ryan Cyz, age 45, of Lockport was cited for operating vehicle with suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

1/8 Location: Plainfield Rd. and Ingalls Avenue

Summary: Misael Ortiz, age 28, of Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended and expired registration.

Location: N. Eastern and E. Clinton

Summary: Jose Ruiz-Vazquez, age 28, of Joliet was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle ad driving while registration suspended.

Location: 2500 block of Plainfield Rd.

Summary: Antonio Lewis, Jr., age 22, of Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and operating vehicle with suspended registration.

Location: 500 block of Cayuga

Summary: Between 6:30am and 7:15, person/s unknown stole a 2012 Kia Rio from the driveway of a residence. At around 10am, Joliet Police advised that they located the stolen vehicle in the back yard of a residence on Abe Street with the steering column peeled.

NEW LENOX AND FRANKFORT

1/3 Location: Nelson Rd. and W. Laraway

Summary: David J. Cova-Delgado, age 24, of Joliet was cited for improper use of registration, no valid driver’s license, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

LOCKPORT

1/3 Location: W. Bruce Rd. and S. Gougar

Summary: Tomas Pileckas, age 22, of Lockport was cited for aggravated speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

WEST TOWNSHIPS

1/4 Location: 21000 block of W. Sycamore Drive Plainfield

Summary: Homeowners stated that while they were away from home person/s unknown broke into their house and stole jewelry.

Location: 17000 block of S. Richmond Road Plainfield

Summary: Person/s unknown stole a Kia Rio from the driveway of a residence. The vehicle owner was not aware the vehicle had been stolen until he received a call from the Plainfield Police. They advised the owner that his vehicle was found abandoned on W. Lakeside Court in Plainfield and it was abandoned. The vehicle was found with a rear window broken out and the steering column had been compromised.

1/6 Location: 17201 S. Lily Cache Road Plainfield Van Horn Woods

Summary: Aiden Bernacki-Bittig, age 20, of Joliet was cited for criminal damage to government property after his truck got stuck on the concrete curbing near the playground area while he was doing ‘donuts’. His actions caused rut marks and torn up mulch and grass.

Location: 16608 S. Lily Cache Road Plainfield Clow Stephens Park

Summary: Griffin Johnson, age 21, of West Chicago was cited for criminal damage to government property after a concerned citizen called 911 regarding a reckless driving complaint. Upon deputies’ arrival, they observed Johnson driving a Volvo on the sod field and grassy areas. Deputies spoke to Johnson and his two passengers regarding the extensive damage. Plainfield Park District requested the driver be charged.

Summary: Jeison Guillen, age 41, of Plainfield was cited for no valid driver’s license.

HOMER GLEN

1/2 Location: W. 159th St. and S. Parker Rd.

Summary: Mustafa Awj, age 37, of Oak Lawn was cited for driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and speeding.

1/3 Location: 13956 S. Bell Road Menards

Summary: Matthew Keane, age 35, of Homer Glen was arrested for retail theft of two knives and a machete.

Location: S. Lemont and W. 139th St.

Summary: Beata Locacius, age 52, of Homer Glen was cited for aggravated speeding.

1/4 Location: 14169 S. Bell Road Meijer

Summary: Brandon Breen, age 29, of Orland Park was arrested for retail theft of multiple packages of Pokemon cards.

1/7 Location: W. 159th St. and S. Parker Rd.

Summary: Alejandro Villalba, age 22, of 7949 Merrimac Avenue in Burbank was arrested for DUI, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and disobeying a traffic control device.

EAST TOWNSHIPS

1/2 Location: W. Monee-Manhattan Rd. and Ridgeland Monee

Summary: Jovanny Gutierrez, age 19, of Chicago Heights was cited for no valid driver’s license and improper passing.

1/3 Location: W. 34th St. and Green St. Monee

Summary: Jennifer K. Anderson, age 39, of 3141 Western Avenue in Park Forest was arrested for DUI, improper lane usage and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

1/4 Location: E. Burville Court and S. Cottage Grove Crete

Summary: Person/s unknown broke into a barn and stole a generator and a plumbing roder.

1/5 Location: 25608 S. Dixie Highway U Store It Crete

Summary: Person/s unknown broke into a storage unit and stole a 3-ton floor jack, a gas power washer, and a Craftsman toolbox containing several wrenches.

1/8 Location: 27000 block of S. South Park Washington

Summary: Person/s unknown entered a vehicle and attempted to place a GPS tracker on a vehicle. The top of the dashboard had been opened and the GPS tracker was in place but had not been wired.
