Halloween has officially passed us by, so you know what that means… It is basically Christmas.
Everyone knows that seasons are no longer dictated by mere dates.
The holiday season starts when Starbucks releases their festive cup prints! (And guess what I am holding on to as I type this now… 😉 )
The holiday season means cooler weather, visiting family, gatherings and parties, and of course- desserts.
One of the most famous holiday desserts may just be the cookie.
Cookies have been a go-to holiday dessert for decades.

Holiday cookies come in all shapes, sizes, flavors, and textures.
They are widely appreciated for several reasons:
1. They transport well.
2. Many holiday cookie recipes utilize the simple ingredients you already have in your pantry.
3. They are easy to make and to eat!
Not to mention cookies are delicious.
I am pretty sure that is a requirement for something to be counted as a cookie.
It absolutely has to taste good.

Soft and Chewy Gingerbread Men
My husband, Andrew, and I love to watch cooking shows.
Especially British ones.
But, the cookie (biscuit) rounds make my husband cringe.
Andrew is a firm believer that cookies should be soft and chewy 99.9% of the time.

My mom loves meringue.
